The year 2017 rings in some significant changes for CALM. You will have already heard of some or most of these, but here’s a quick review of what’s happening so far.
- ⁃ The Tuesday/Thursday am workouts are now at 6 and 7:15am only, and run for 90 minutes each.
- ⁃ Tuesday/Thursday pm workouts now run from 6-7:30pm. (Regulars at other workouts take note: these folks are going to be in better shape than the rest of us in no time!)
- ⁃ CALM will offer a 90 minute long-course workout on Sunday mornings from 8:15-9:45 twice a month (every other Sunday) beginning January 8! (here’s a chance to catch up with those morning/evening 90 minute swimmers)
- ⁃ The Cal Rec Sports department has implemented new membership management software. This means CALM members who pay dues on-line will need to re-activate or create
new log-in accounts. To do so go to the Rec Sports Online store, use your current user name (e-mail) and click on ‘Forgot my password’ to reset a password for the new system, or follow the links to create a new user account. If you have questions/ problems, contact Spencer Hawkins at: shawkins@berkeley.edu.
⁃ Finally, CALM dues are increasing to $75/month for non- students ($45/month student) effective March 1. Please note that these rates are for the monthly-recurring form of payment, for which members will need to be registered for accounts in the system (see above). The annual (12 month) payment in full is $900; other forms of payment (e.g. month-month; semester; drop-in) may or may not reflect the $75/month rate.
